Delicious Fish Tacos
This recipe is one of my favorites! It's a refreshing take on fish tacos. I love to adjust and make recipes my own and here's my version of fish tacos. It takes away the fish taste and it's a refreshing take on a favorite dinner in our house. Even the kids agree!
Equipment
- 1 pan
- 1 Mixing Bowl
Ingredients
- 1/2 Cup Pinot Grigio
- 2 tsp Cocnut Aminos
- 4 tsp Garlic powder
- 6 tsp Salt
- 1/2 Cup Cilantro
- 1 Bag of chopped green cabbage
- 5 Limes l
- 4 Lemons
- 1 Avocado
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vineger
Instructions
- Thaw Fish
- Merinade fish using 1/2 cup of wine, 3 tsp garlic powder, 2 tsp Coconut Aminos, 3 tsp salt, 1/2 cup lemon juice, 1/4 cup lime juice. Let stand for 30 minutes
- Make Slaw: Mix cabbage with 1/2 cup lemon juice, 1/4 cup lime juice, 1/2 cup cilantro, 1 avocado, 3 tsp of salt, 1 tsp garlic powder, 1 tbsp honey, and 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar. Allow slaw to marinade.
- Once the fish has marinated turn on the pan and put your preferred cooking spray in the pan. Let the fish cook until it's done all the way inside you can add a little of the marinade juice to the pan to steam the fish. Usually, this will take about 5/10 min each side. Make sure you don't cook it too long or it will dry out. Also if you aren't sure it's cooked inside cut it in the pan and look inside. What should happen is it should flake apart when done. You can put a lid over the pan to steam it as you cook it. Make sure you flip it to cook evenly on both sides.
- When you have finished cooking the fish get ready to assemble the taco. Use fresh mozzarella cheese pulled apart in a taco shell, put the fish on top of the cheese, and then the slaw and roll up the taco.
- Enjoy your fish tacos with a great glass of Pinot!
Notes
This recipe can be adjusted to your specific tastes. You can add sour cream or hot sauce to your tacos. The fun thing about tacos is you can add whatever you want!
