Delicious Fall Chilli

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Ground Beef (You can choose fatty or lean)
  • 1 package Bacon (Plain Bacon Nothing Fancy Needed)
  • 1 Can Pinto Beans
  • 1 Can Kidney Beans
  • 1 Can Stewed Tomatoes
  • 1/2 Onion
  • 1 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 2 Tbsp Chilli Powder
  • 3 Tbsp Salt
  • 1 Tbsp Oregano
  • 4 Garlic Cloves
  • 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder

Instructions
 

  • At the bottom of the stockpot put a tbsp of olive oil. Chop and prep the onion and garlic. Brown both the garlic and onion until transparent and fragrant.
  • Chop up the bacon vertically into small strips.
  • When the onions and garlic have been cooked add the pound of ground beef as well as the package of cut up bacon.
  • Cook the ground beef and bacon thoroughly add the salt to taste as well as the chilli powder.
  • When the meat is cooked add a can of kidney, pinto, and stewed tomatoes. Mix thoroughly and let simmer on low for 20 mins.
  • When all the ingredients have been simmering for a while do a taste test and add salt, chili powder, garlic powder, or oregano as needed.
  • Serve with cheese or sour cream topping.

Notes

This is a great family recipe that has been passed down in my family. It's comfort food for colder nights and brings in the family from the cold. Kids love this recipe and it's full of flavor that will keep them asking for more.
